One Third!

Woot!

I'm finally one third through the number of chapters I plan to write. Yeah! Also I created the most awesome plant ever! But you'll have to read the book to find out!

Hopefully in the next chapter or two I'll finally get the boys to become a team. I just haven't decided if it should occur because of an attack or they end up in a dilemma and have to rely on each other. At least when it comes to Rachel they can cooperate.

I also realize that It has been a while since I posted so as a treat I will let you know about something funny which will be released later in the book.

When mad, as a toddler, Princess Sara would take off all of her clothes and go sit in the middle of the grand hall pouting. On the flip side Princess Gallennium would throw all of her clothes out the window when she got mad as a toddler and yell "(Who ever she was mad at) is the meanest person on the planet!" as she through her clothes.

Pull out the red letters:

Dress help

Hello again,

I hope last week you all enjoyed your history lesson. I honestly wouldn't know since none of you have commented. I was really hoping for some comments.

I've also have a poll up to see how many of you all would be interested in helping me out with designing some dresses for Princess Sara but if you take a look that is pretty lacking in responses as well.

Currently I'm stuck on designing a dress for Princess Sara. As I have stated in my first post she is kidnapped by these creatures called Berks. Well in general their clothes are made of leaves. The clothes can also be made out of bark and anything else that can be found in the forest.

So get those creative juices  going and write your ideas in the comments as to what her dress should look like. Remember she is being held captive.

Until next time,

A quick piece of History

Hey guys,

Well I figured I'd be nice and let you read up on some history. When the book comes out Sam will be telling this to Rachel as a bedtime story.

The History of the King of Dragons, His two sons and their adopted daughters.

This knowledge has been passed down through the ages and there are very few written versions left by the time the story begins. It is told as folklore by that time.

Back before time was recorded by man there existed dragons. They were fierce beasts that controlled everything with an iron fist. The King of Dragons had two sons. One sought good and peace between the land and its creatures (we'll call him Dragon A). The other sought to destroy the world and start a new one (we'll call him Dragon B). One day the two brothers got into an argument when they heard the sound of infants crying. They looked around until there was a loud crunch sound under the foot of Dragon B. It was a human woman he had stepped on, but by the looks of her body she had already died of blood loss from a sever bite. After stepping on the woman the two dragons noticed a basket hidden in a bush that held her crying twin infants. Dragon A said that they should do something about them so they won’t die. Dragon B said to let them die because nature was going to kill them anyway. But Dragon A said no. He then carefully picked up the two babies and went searching for where they might have come from. By the time night came it was no use, he couldn’t find any human camps anywhere nearby. So he returned to his cave to listen to his brother’s ridicule. The two dragons started to settle into bed when the babies began crying once again. Dragon A took a couple of whiffs and said they smell fine. Dragon B left the cave and returned with a goat. He had threatened the goat to feed the babies its milk. Once the babies were done the goat left and everyone went to sleep.

In the morning the two dragons woke to a baby curled up next to them. They each decided to raise the baby that slept with them. Dragon A raised its baby to become a light sorceress. Dragon B raised its baby to be a dark sorceress. Both girls were able to use powerful magic to control nature. The Light sorceress excelled at water and earth elements while the Dark sorceress excelled at fire and air elements. On the day the girls turned sixteen the two dragons decided to let the girls know the truth about how they became their daughters. The Light sorceress was sad but said she loved Dragon A like a father anyway. The Dark sorceress, on the other hand, said that she could not care less. This made the Light sorceress mad. So the two girls started fighting but the dragons broke them up. Around the time of the girl’s eighteenth birthday the King of Dragons was getting old and frail and would soon die. The Dark sorceress wanted to kill the King herself and take his power for her own. The Light sorceress caught wind of The Dark sorceress’s plan and went to stop her. The two girls got in a huge fight. Neither of the dragons could stop the girls. With the King’s remaining strength he separated the two girls and put them in tombs to sleep for all eternity. They say that if the two girls were ever to be woken the world would be destroyed.

The King of the Dragons was now on his death bed so his two sons constructed a tomb for their father to seal away his great power. The tomb was locked with seven gems and a key. The seven gems were then scattered about the world but the key had a spell cast upon it. The two dragons had know a wise old woman that they would speak to whenever they had a question about raising the girls. So the spell would keep it hidden with in the old woman's family until the King of Dragons power was needed in the event that the girls were to ever wake.

Well there is your history lesson for the day.

Enjoy.

Intro to Gems

Hello,

My name is Violet Wilder and I am a new author working on my first book. It is a fiction series called Gems. Currently I am planning on it being a trilogy. At one point it was going to be eight books long but there were enough people that convinced me that a trilogy would be better and if I need I could go on to a fourth book.

Well you all are probably wondering what the book is about. Like I said it is a piece of fiction. If I had to pick a genre it would be an Adventure-Action series. There are all sorts of creatures found in the books. Some you'll recognize, like dragons and turtles, and others you won't like the main creatures in the first book called Berks. I do ask that you have an open mind when it is published because there are some strange things that happen like a desert that you can walk on during the day but at night becomes a bottomless pit.

As for the characters I have four main ones that we follow. They are:

Sara Lotus- The Princess of the Light Kingdom
Conner Whelan- The Prince of the Kingdom of Edean
Sam and Rachel Abacus - Brother and Sister who grew up farming in the Light Kingdom.

Some other characters of note are:

King Darien – King of the Light Kingdom, Sara’s Father
Orrin Abacus – Rachel and Sam’s oldest brother
Zelda – Dark Sorceress (for you gamers Zelda is not from the Zelda game series)
Florf – Light Sorceress
Dean Whelan – Conner’s uncle
Babifin – King of the Berks
Gallennium – Babifin’s daughter
Jahard – Knight of Babifin

I do realize that there are some interesting names for the characters but if I named every character a common name like Jack and Jill then where would all the fun be? I mean  J. R. R. Tolkien name one of his main characters Frodo and another Gandalf.

Well I guess I should give you a bit of knowledge as to what happens in the first book.

The first book is called Gems: The Key Keeper
Princess Sara is kidnapped by the Berks and held up for the ransom of the Key Keeper. Well no one knows who that is but eventually we find out. So Prince Conner goes off to save her and ends up having Sam and Rachel join him. The three have a rough time traveling to the Fire Forest where the Berks live. On their way they find Orrin who ran off eight years ago and boy did he change from the kind older brother that Sam and Rachel knew.

Well I'll post something every week.

So until next week,
